partman-auto-loop software package provides Automatically partition using a loop device, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install partman-auto-loop
partman-auto-loop is installed in your system.
Make ensure the partman-auto-loop package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep partman-auto-loop *
You will get with partman-auto-loop package name, version, architecture and description in a table
